Announcing: Two New Ways To Connect With Students

CourseKey now offers two new features to better engage students by meeting them where they are—their mobile devices.

From checking the weather to paying bills, modern students do everything on their mobile devices. Career education programs must continue to evolve and meet them where they are; that’s why we’re launching two new ways to reach students on their mobile devices to improve engagement.

Push Notifications

CourseKey now sends automatic push notifications to students based on their personal preferences—no lift required from your school.

Students can opt in or out of notifications about:

              • Check out times
              • New assessment availability
              • New course enrollment
              • Instructor response in course inbox
              • Instructor post in course discussion

Students can update their preferences at any time if they decide they no longer want to receive notifications or would like to receive more notifications.

Push notifications can help improve check-out rates, decrease attendance adjustments, and provide more accurate information. Push notifications also increase student engagement by providing valuable information in a way that students are accustomed to receiving it—through their phones.

Notifications are pre-written and automatically included for all CourseKey students.

TextAim Integration

CourseKey is now integrated with TextAim to expedite the student outreach process.

With this integration, administrators can pull up a student’s TextAim profile with just a click of a button in CourseKey. If an administrator is signed into TextAim, they can simply click the link in CourseKey on the live attendance page, student profile page, and last activity recorded page. Schools must be TextAim users to leverage this integration.
